The management team has Mr. Gregory U. Ogbeifun as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.He has been involved in the planning and execution of management policies.

UK trained, he has an excellent academic training in Marine Engineering, international exposure in marine consultancy, transportation and valuable managerial skills.

Mr. Joni Otsemobor, GENERAL MANAGER, is a Nigerian, born 11th October 1953. He attended the College of Technology, Southampton where he had his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marine Engineering. He attended several courses to his credit between 1988 – 2001, these include courses in Advanced Fire Fighting, Petroleum Tanker DCE CPSC and Rescue Boats, Wet Drill, Medical First Aid, ISM and Safety Management System, ISPS Code. He has a great deal experience in the operation and management of the following Engines: B&W MAN SULZER (Slow and Medium speed), Rustons RK, Caterpillars, MAK Yanmar Mirlees Blackstones Delaval, Warsilla 12v32, Stork Werspoor Listers EMDS Wasilla (Medium speed). He is highly knowledgeable in these areas: Power Management System (Jensen and Rhodes), Generation and Distribution, Power Plant Instrumentation, Control and Alarm, Electronic Automation System (Ustein UmasV, Praxis), Dry-Docking, Anchor Handling, Oil Tankers, Azimuth Thrusters and Kerewa Bow Thrusters LFM Compressors DP2 Experience. Having worked as a Marine Superintendent, he is good in the Maintenance and Running of various fleets.

He has had a tremendous work experience. He has worked in various companies across the world, which include GNMTC Libya as Chief Engineer from 1991 – 1994, OTAL West Africa as Chief Engineer from 1994 – 1996 (RoRo Cont. Vessel Tankers, IMS Dubai as Chief Engineer/Marine Superintendent for 1992 – 1996 AHTS, Seacor Marines WA as Chief Engineer from 1996 – 1998 AHTS, Algosabi SA as Chief Engineer/Marine Superintendent from 1998 -1999 DSV, Swires Hong Kong as Chief Engineer from 2000 – 2001 AHTS, SMS Marine as Chief Engineer from 2001 – 2003 AHTS/DP, Gardline Geosurveys UK as Chief Engineer from 2003 – 2006 Seismic Surveys. He is presently the General Manager of Starzs Marine & Engineering Ltd. Port Harcourt.

Mr.Yordan Marev - Production Manager, is a Bulgarian, born in April, 1949. He attended Technical School of Shipping, Burgas from 1964 to 1968. He proceeded to the Institute of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Varna in 1968 and graduated with a Diploma Certificate in Ship building in 1973.

Mr. Marev has worked variously as a supervisor of Ship repairing workshop and superintendent in Technological Development of Ship repairs Hull and Deck Constructions between 1973 and 1986. He got employed in Nigeria by Offshore Trawlers Limited, Port Harcourt, Rivers State as Dock Master of Slipway/Dry Dock between 1986 and 1989. He returned to Burgas Shipyard Bulgaria and worked as Dock Master of the floating dock between 1990 and 1998. He is currently the Yard/Dock Manager of Starzs Marine & Engineering Limited.

Mr Johnny P. Abraham - Mechanical Superintendent, is an Indian, born in May, 1960. He attended Madonna Institute of Electronics Engineering, Kanjirapally, India where he was awarded a National Trade Certificate. He acquired a National Apprenticeship Certificate as a Fitter from the Cochin Shipyard Limited between 1984 and 1985.

Mr Johnny Abraham worked with St. Joseph Engineering works Cochin as a Fitter between 1982 and 1984. He worked as Marine Mechanic Foreman with BETA Company for contracting, supply, operations and maintenance – operators of King Fahd Ship repair Yard, Jeddah, between 1993 ad 1996. West African Dry Dock, Port Harcourt employed him in Nigeria in 1997 as Chief Engineer before joining Starzs Marine & Engineering Limited as Shipwright Engineer. He is currently the Mechanical Superintendent

Mr. Pusam J. Kanism - Commercial Manager, is a Nigerian, born in January 1971. He attended Sakato Government Secondary School Numan Adamawa State from 1980 to 1985. He went to College of Preliminary Studies (CPS) Yola and obtained a Diploma in Physics Education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1990. He obtained Bachelors degree in Physics from the Federal University of Technology Yola, he also had a certificate in DataBase Management Systems from same university.

Mr. Pusam has had considerable experience in dealing with the public for well over twelve years. He was the personal Assistant to the State Chairman of Nigerian Centre Party Adamawa State Branch, Systems Engineer/Instructor at Adonai Computers Port Harcourt. He was also the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director/CEO Starzs Marine & Engineering Limited from 2001 until he was promoted to the position of Support Services Officer in 2002, he was also elevated in February 2005 as Commercial Manager.

Miss Omoruyi Charity, CASHES Manager, a Nigerian from Edo state, attended Petroleum Training Institute Warri where she obtained a Higher National Diploma in Industrial Safety Engineering Technology in 2000.

She was employed by Starzs Investments Company Ltd in the year 2004 as Community Affairs Safety, Health, Environment and Security (CASHES) Officer. She is Starzs CASHES focal person in our ongoing contract with SPDC.

Miss Omoruyi has attended various trainings/seminars and courses within the last few years under the auspices of Starzs and SPDC. This includes: ISO 140001-Awareness Workshop, Organized by PBE-HSE Department, SPDC, PHC (August 2004). HSE-MS&Quality System Workshop, Organized by PCE-CEM Department, SPDC, PHC. (October 2004). In-House Training Program on CASHES(Community Affairs Safety, Health, Environment and Security),Organized by Starzs Investments Company Ltd,(September 2004) HSE Awareness Training Workshop organized by HSE Training Unit SPDC Eastern Division PHC.(December 2004&January 2005) Drive&Sail to live(D&S2L) Training Organized by HSE Training Unit SPDC East (March 2005) Hearts&Minds Awareness Workshop organized by HSE Training Unit SPDC East (July 2005)

Mr. Emmanuel – Afolabi Olaolu - Finance & Admin Manager, was born on 7th October 1971. He attended Ajibode Grammar School, Ajibode Ibadan from 1984 to 1987, before he proceeded to Abadina College (UI) Ibadan from 1987 to 1989. He obtained both OND and HND from The Polytechnic Ibadan from 1990 to 1996. After his mandatory NYSC in Minna, Niger State, he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma from the Federal University of Technology Minna. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Mr. Olaolu, has considerable experience in accounting and administration, he has worked in several capacities as Senior Accountant at Royal White Suite, Port Harcourt, as Project Accountant at International Oilfield Services Limited Port Harcourt before joining Starzs Marine & Engineering as Finance and Admin Manager.

Mr. Clement Hemsley Oriabure - QA/QC & Corrosion Control Engineer, is a Nigerian, born in April 1963. He attended Bishop Kelly College (ICC) Benin City in 1976, before he proceeded to College of Education Benin city and graduated in Mathematics /Physics in 1982. To further his career, he attended Nigerian Navy Dockyard Engineering School Victoria Island, Lagos and was awarded a Higher National Diploma (Distinction) in Marine/Mechanical Engineering in 1991.

Mr. Oriabure started his working career with Toyo Glass Factory at Agbara as Production Engineer between 1992 and 1994, he left for E.Iyabo Investment Nigeria Limited, Lagos as General Manager between 1994 and 1996. He was employed in ITS Drilling Services Limited, Port Harcourt in 1996 as Senior Site/Services Engineer in-charge of Incinerators & Decontaminators repairs until he joined Starzs Marine & Engineering Limited as Yard Services/Dock Maintenance Supervisor. He was promoted to his present position Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Corrosion Control Engineer in August 2004.
